February Dog Care Tips from Our Team

1. Watch for seasonal skin and coat issues. Cold air and central heating is a tough combination for dogs' skin. Make sure they're well-hydrated and their coat is regularly brushed. If you're noticing dry, flaky skin or dull fur, it may be worth a chat with your vet.

2. Keep walks shorter but more frequent. Rather than one long muddy expedition, two or three shorter walks can be easier on both of you and your floors.

3. Mental stimulation is exercise too. Puzzle feeders, sniff mats, and training sessions burn energy just as effectively as a run in the park. Our team incorporates enrichment into every session at The Wag Club.

4. Post-walk paw care. Grit, salt, and cold pavements can cause cracking and irritation to paw pads. Get into the habit of a quick paw check and wipe-down after every walk.
